PUBLICATION ETHICS
Publication Ethics
The Nigerian Journal of Technical Education (NJTE) is committed to maintaining high standards of research and publication integrity across all disciplines covered by the journal, particularly science, technical and vocational education, engineering, applied research and adaptive technology.
All authors are required to comply with the ethical principles described below.
Fabrication and Falsification of Data
Data Fabrication
Data fabrication occurs when researchers invent observations, measurements, experimental results, responses or other research data without conducting the reported investigation.
Data Falsification
Data falsification occurs when authentic research has been conducted but data, images, procedures or findings are altered, manipulated, selectively omitted or misrepresented.
Both practices constitute serious research misconduct.
Consequences
Manuscripts containing fabricated or falsified data may be:
- Rejected immediately.
- Withdrawn from consideration.
- Retracted if already published.
- Reported to relevant institutions where appropriate.
Authors may also be restricted from future submissions or editorial participation.
